DMC Dante by EnlightendShadow DMC Dante by EnlightendShadow
This one took me FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At first I was coloring it very carefully but I just didn't have the patience to do that so yeah it came out all sketchy but it actually worked out well for this drawing of the new Dante from the up coming "DMC: Devil May Cry" game by Capcom and Ninja Theory. To tell you guys the truth I really hated the new design at first but the more I looked at it the more it started to grow on me. It doesn't matter if Dante does look like an emo kid this time around as long as the game play stays Devil May Cry worthy. I don't know about you guys but I'm excited!

Dante was never meant to smoke according to his creator Hideki Kamiya and plus I hate smokers for the most part both real life and fiction with some exceptions.

Ninja Theory might as well named him Daniel or some other name because horrible looks aside,he has nothing in common with the original Dante be it personality, mannerisms, attitude, fighting style, and so on. I am glad that the DmC reboot experiment failed so that it should teach other video game companies a lesson.  There is just no redeeming this punk.

this was a drawing i made way back when they originally made the first trailer where he as all emo and crap.  I agree that he shouldn't have smoked which he didn't at all in the actual game.  The actual game was actually pretty fun though even though it didn't play much like a DMC game at all.  I'm kinda sad that it didn't do well just because of the original trailer for the game when in the end the character ended up acting and looking like the DMC3 Dante except he liked to curse a bunch lol
It took me two days to play and beat it. Even I were to treat it as its own thing,DmC fails to provide any fun as I did not enjoy having to hold down a button just to use a different weapon.

The difference is that DMC3 Dante was a lot younger and he grew out of being a careless person. Donte is 27 years old.

That goes to show why video game companies should never badmouth their customers and fans. In any case, the series is better off dead than being ruined so more.

I can admit that Capcom changing his look to someone with a larger coat and shorter hair, but the half angel thing and grey eyes were unnecessary, and it seems they toned him down and he lost his saddistic streak, wich is too bad, i for once wanted to see what he would do, from the first trailer, i could conclude some things:
1. He has just escaped torture, hence why he looked beat up
2. judging from the painful reaction to the flashback of his torture, the experience left him scarred and traumatized
3. putting out the cigarrette in a demon's face shows he wanted the demons to suffer, he is full of hatred towards them
4. he could lose control, no one knows when.
Those characteristics made this version interesting and since this is set in a parallel universe, why not leave it like that? it's another universe, another Dante, so why tone it down, just because of hate? "haters be hating" it looked like we were in for a deeper story, but now we may never see how this goes unless Capcom releases a game based off the first trailer as a spin-off, sadly. That beiing said, and off my chest, that's an amazing art and i hope the game turns out to be awesome

It's being made by Ninja Theory so don't count this game to play like the older ones.
